Welcome to our information page for all Cambridge University Colleges! Whether you have a quick question or need to arrange staff training, we're here to help.

The Safety Office is proud to support the Cambridge University Colleges. Eleven of the Colleges have chosen us as their competent adviser.

Since October 2008, we've expanded our services to include all Colleges within the wider University community.

Here's what we offer:

  • Services Available: Anything we provide to departments and faculties is also available to Colleges, should they choose to use our services.
  • Charges: Fees apply only for bespoke training or advice within the College, or if College staff attend any of our advertised training courses (see our current scale notice).
  • Training: The number of people trained is up to the College and depends on the size of the training room.
  • No Contract Needed: We operate with just a letter of understanding, no formal contract required.
  • Health and Safety Audits: Baseline health and safety management audits are available.
  • Flexibility: Colleges are free to engage other health and safety consultants if they wish and can select services that suit their needs. They can also download and personalize materials.
  • Contact: There is no limit to telephone or email contact during normal working hours.
  • Advisory Role: Our staff operate in an advisory capacity and are insured to work within the Colleges.
  • First Point of Contact: The Safety Office Liaison Officer or the admin clerk should be your first point of call.
  • Fire Safety: Please note, we do not offer a full Fire Safety package.
