Information for students about the Graduate Safety Course

Currently, this course is only open to new graduate students in science and technology and certain others. If you are unsure whether you should be attending, please ask us by contacting the Safety Office

Initial information about the Graduate Safety Course is sent from the Safety Office.

We expect you to attend this training unless you are formally excused by your Department or Institution. For information about granting excusals, see our Excusal Policy. Your Department or Institution will tell you if you have been excused from attendance. If you do not arrive in Cambridge in time for one course, you will be expected to attend the next presentation.
Excusal Policy

The current timetables show the content, venue and presenters of the various sessions. There may be last minute changes in presenters but the times and venues will not change.

All the UK Research Councils regard health and safety issues as an essential part of training requirements for research students. You can gain credits for Transferable Skills Training by attending this Safety Course and other courses provided by the Safety Office.
